“Young” - Liar Liar | Review

“Young” by Liar Liar is a pop, rock song that makes me want to drop everything and take a spontaneous, solo midnight adventure to the beach.

This song is ethereal - the synths, catchy beat, and soft toned vocals. It ties big electro-pop energy with a touching and satisfying lyrical story. “Young” tells the unapologetic tale of a young woman reveling in her abandonment on a night out. Her friends have left her, but she is so fulfilled in her solo, nocturnal escapade that she never wants the night to end. The vocals and lyrics match this youthful, adventurous vibe in a very pleasing way.

Liar Liar is a four-piece indie-pop group hailing from Watford and Birmingham consisting of Chris Francis, Darcy Willison, Thomas Parry, and Benjamin Paris. 2019 was a massive year for Liar Liar, with the release of two singles that saw national radio play; as well as a string of successful live shows across the country culminating in a sold-out show at Islington academy. Liar Liar is now looking to build on that success in 2020 with their new single “Young.”
