"Sky is Blue" - Fabio Romagnoli x Rafael Manga | REVIEW

“Sky is Blue” is an EDM dream with a melodic melody. After listening to the song blindly, I felt euphoric and comforting. Like the sun shines on you after a rainy day, and your face feels warm as you bathe in the sun’s rays.

The production has a dream sequence that can played in the club and your room. It’s reminiscent of some of Zedd’s earlier songs (specifically Clarity, Beautiful Now, and Happy Now) and Avicii’s songs (specifically The Nights, Hey Brother, and Waiting For Love). The vocals from the featured artists and EDM elements make the song fresh while reeling in nostalgia for anchored memories.

Though the lyrics are one stanza repeating 3 times, it paints an image of being on cloud nine after a love confession.

I said “I love you”

Warm air, the sky’s blue

Then you said that you do,

It’s too good to be true.

This review is a collaboration between two artists, Fabio Romagnoli and Rafael Manga. They worked together on other releases: Desert Sky, Overdose, The Future, and House Things. “Sky is Blue” is available on February 7 on all major platforms. If you’re a fan of EDM and dreamscape music, this song is for you.

About Fabio Romagnoli

Fabio Romagnoli has been ghost-producing for 20 years. He started releasing music on YouTube and Instagram under the pseudonym “Transferunique” and eventually released songs under more pseudonyms. But he ultimately decided to be visible.

“The reason why I wanted to be more visible is because my music saved the life of a subscriber,” Romagnoli said. “So here I am, hoping I can give comfort with more melancholic tracks and alter moods to happiness with the more uplifting songs.”

Romagnoli often collaborates with people who don’t get enough credit or recognition. “Supporting fellow artists with untapped potential has always been a big goal for me,” he said to Unheard Gems.

About Rafael Manga

Rafael Manga is a self-taught and trained bass player, producer, mixing engineer, and sound designer. As a producer, he released music on multiple labels such as Hood Politics, Low Ceiling, Up Club Records (Alok), and others. He even opened a record label called Ugly Bear Records.

Manga has been a DJ for 5 years already; he has played at big parties such as 'Radio' with Ferry Corsten, 'Pacha Ibiza on Tour' with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, 'Dance Department' with Watermat, and many more.

After being in the underground scene and collecting experience in many genres such as Brazilian Bass, Tech House, House, and Melodic Techno, he started creating more commercial-line music, mixing the necessary genres and aiming for an expanded quality for a larger audience.
