KALEO Electrifies Los Angeles with Two Sold-Out Shows

Last Thursday, KALEO kicked off the first of their two sold out nights in Los Angeles, captivating the crowd with their infectious energy, intricate guitar work, and powerful drum and bass lines. The entire audience was on their feet, dancing and singing along from start to finish.

Opening for KALEO, Neal Francis took the stage and delivered a performance that kept everyone on their toes. The Chicago-based musician showcased his eclectic psychedelic rock sound and was able to start amping up the crowd. A highlight of his set was his impressive musicality on the keyboard, equipped with a whammy bar that added an exciting twist to his music.

As the lights dimmed and anticipation built, KALEO emerged, backlit by striking lights. The Icelandic blues rock band demonstrated their versatility, performing a range of songs that captured the emotional depth and authenticity of the blues genre. Frontman JJ Julius Son exhibited his prowess with an array of guitars, while the band skillfully incorporated harmonica and conga drums into their set, adding rich layers to their sound.

Throughout the night, the crowd passionately sang along with JJ, creating a powerful and immersive atmosphere. KALEO's setlist featured a dynamic mix of tracks from their debut album A/B and their latest album Surface Sounds. Each song was delivered with precision and heartfelt emotion, highlighting the band's consistency in both sound and sentiment.

The night reached its peak as KALEO closed the show with “Rock ‘n’ Roller”, a track they started performing in their early days in 2013 and finally released this year. The high-energy tune was the perfect finale, leaving the audience with a memorable and electrifying ending to an unforgettable concert. KALEO's performance in Los Angeles was a testament to their musical talent and ability to connect with their fans, making it a night to remember for everyone in attendance.
