Once again néomí is giving us Phoebe Bridgers realness with her new single “I Could Never Leave”. She has such powerful vocals paired with the acoustic guitar it’s a hauntingly beautiful experience.
“I Could Never Leave” is néomí’s second single from her EP ‘After’ which will be released on April 14th. This single channels the sweet and alluring disposition néomí looks to project, this song specifically is a haunting ode to fallen relationships and moving on from more troubled times.
néomí states “‘I could never leave’ is a track that lies very close to my heart. I think this song comes closest to my feelings more than any other at this point. When I hear or play it, it brings me back to this love I had. It’s about a relationship shifting, like a big force, like stars falling in the sky. Self-development, acceptance but also grief all in one.” She hopes that this song comes across as raw and honest because that’s what it is to her.
This song is just so beautiful and makes me sad but also at peace. I can’t get over how stunning her vocals and harmonies are. I can’t wait for the EP. Also she will be touring in Europe from April 10th to April 19th if you’re interested in seeing her live!
