Die Happy by Madisyn Gifford | Review

Madisyn Gifford’s “Die Happy” is bringing the sounds of an early 2010’s romcom to 2025. As the weather starts to get warmer, and the dreariness of winter melts away, “Die Happy” brings some much-needed light to the changing seasons. With an upbeat folk-pop sound, sweet lyrics, and Madisyn’s warm vocals, this song feels like dancing in a sunlit kitchen with the person you love. As described by Madisyn herself: “It felt I was like experiencing the honeymoon phase of a love affair with my own life.”

Based in Vancouver, Madisyn is proving to be a true creative force within the industry. “Die Happy” is part of a larger collection of music she is releasing later this year. It follows recent singles “Glad You Got Away,” “Fast Ones,” and “Seventeen,” which have already started to showcase the evolution of her sound and this next phase of her artistry. Her previous works have received coverage from tastemakers like Rolling Stone, Consequence, and EARMILK, and have received major sync placements like Netflix’s Hot Frosty and The CW’s Nancy Drew. With more from Madisyn on the horizon, be sure to keep an eye out for what is sure to be the next big name in music!
