DADĒ DROPS SOPHOMORE SINGLE “NO FEELINGS”

Electronic pop artist DADĒ (they, them), is set to release their second single “NO FEELINGS.”

“NO FEELINGS” is an evocative, yet cathartic track that gives insight into toxic cycles of unresolved relationship conflicts. Delving into emotional depletion and strained connection, DADĒ shares an intimate story with layers of ambient synths, ocean sounds, and a dynamic drum line. With lyrics like, “No feelings left to say I’m completely depleted | Just say it to my face I’ll be here if you need me | But we don’t have to stay,” DADĒ captures the unspoken emotions they were holding back when encountering these patterns and cycles. Through clever usage of repetition in the lyricism and instrumentation, “NO FEELINGS” showcases a mixture of conversations that cause feelings of confusion and anxiety, artistically capturing the constant miscommunication and repetitive arguments.

DADĒ’s use of ocean sounds is no coincidence; the track mirrors one of the most intense arguments they experienced in their relationship—on a beach in Hawaii. Much like the tide, their conversations and unresolved conflicts ebbed and flowed, crashing together relentlessly, yet never reaching a resolution. With writing partner Gregory Scott, the two approached the session without intention to create a song, but through shared creativity, did so anyway. Going through multiple iterations of the piece, DADĒ and Scott stayed present in the narrative, embellishing the ambiance with depth. “NO FEELINGS” masterfully transforms personal turmoil into a sonic journey, blending raw lyricism with immersive production. The track serves as both a reflection of unresolved conflict and a release—an emotional tide finally breaking free. When you fall in love with this track, keep an eye out for the intro/extended version of “NO FEELINGS” dropping January 22, 2025!

About DADĒ:

(Yes, it’s pronounced daddy), the pseudonym for Los Angeles-based non-binary engineer and producer Syd Tagle. In 2018 Syd joined the band known as The Shakes as their keyboardist and vocalist and began to carve out their niche in production. Post the split of the band, Syd moved to Los Angeles to pursue the studio life. Over their first three years in L.A., they had the pleasure of building relationships with and working with many artists from SZA (3x Grammy winning, SOS), Don Toliver (Love Sick), to Giveon (Give Or Take). In 2023 life took them in yet another direction - the G Flip “Drummer Tour” - acting as the musical director and keyboardist for opening act Miki Ratsula; once again sparking their love for performing. After years of stacking up hard drives full of ideas, Syd finally decided to take the songs out of the vault, polish them, and upload them for the world to hear via their debut solo artist endeavor DADĒ. Veering away from their track record of R&B and indie/alternative credits, DADĒ acts as the catalyst in an exploration of infectious synths, simple but effective lyrics, and driving melodies. DADĒ is a persona and experience - an alter ego or view of self, a bit that went a step too far. Welcome to DADĒ, the version of you that isn’t afraid to share.
